Congressman Allen West recently decided to run for re-election to Congress in a different congressional district due to redistricting considerations, but now one of his Democrat opponents who had been challenging West in the 22nd CD has just announced that he will leave that race and follow West to his new district. Democrat Patrick Murphy has previously called West a “coward” for running in another district, but Murphy isn’t really in a position to level frivolous charges, since he’s got his own record of ‘fleeing the scene.’
Murphy is a refugee from the Republican Party who changed his party affiliation just last year, and now he is also fleeing the 22nd CD to avoid what would almost certainly be a primary loss to Lois Frankel. What’s that saying about folks who live in glass houses again? Murphy should think through his own political strategy before he begins hurling laughable epithets that apply more to him than anyone else. Oh btw, I wonder if Murphy will be donating to Governor Mitt Romney’s Presidential campaign again? Rumor has it that he donated to Romney in 2008, confirmation of this rumor to follow very shortly.
