Lehigh Acres, FL- Governor Mitt Romney took his Presidential campaign to the area hardest hit by the housing crisis and staged a rally in front of a home that was currently going through the foreclosure process. During his brief address to a crowd of about 300, Romney took a swipe at Newt Gingrich by calling him an ‘influence peddler’ and mocked his work as a “historian” with Freddie Mac. Romney echoes what Congresswoman Michele Bachmann has said before regarding his questionable employment while under contract at Freddie Mac. Romney also asked Gingrich to release his ‘work’ as the historian for Freddie Mac.“I am waiting to see the history he wrote for Freddie Mac. I’d like to see the work product. I’d like for him to release the work that he did, and let us see what it was- the volumes of work that he did. Where are the reports that he made. Let’s see what he was doing.”
