The Republican dog pile on Ron Paul and his dangerous foreign policy position continues as fellow Republican Presidential candidate Rick Santorum says that Michele Bachmann was right when she stated that Paul would be a “dangerous” Commander-in-Chief. Santorum has always taken issue with Paul over his foreign policy, but his words resonate even more with voters there is complete agreement among the Republican candidates that Paul is completely off kilter when it comes to foreign policy. Fox News’ Sean Hannity has also taken issue with Ron Paul, referring to Paul’s foreign policy as “naive.” Read more here: Ron Paul’s Foreign Policy is NaiveAll of the Republican Presidential candidates expect for Paul have stated that Iran is a clear threat to the U.S., and the Middle East including Israel. The candidates also agree that Israel must be defended and that the U.S. needs to stay vigilant and remain on offense when it comes to foreign policy. Ron Paul continues to marginalize himself as the isolationist/non-interventionist who is completely out of touch with both the foreign and domestic threats to the country.
While we all agree with Congressman Paul on most of his domestic issues, his foreign policy dementia makes his presidential candidacy an non-starter, and his campaign’s support has more than likely plateaued. What is really interesting about Ron Paul and his supporters is that although they detest President Obama, they will not commit to supporting the eventual Republican nominee because Paulinistas believe that whomever wins the GOP nomination, other than their candidate will not be the ‘purist’ Libertarian that they believe Ron Paul is.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
The Paulinistas who maintain this posture should be called out for what they are- ignorant, and ultimately irrelevant. If Ron Paul’s supporters do not support the Republican nominee over President Barack Obama, and Obama wins reelection, then the Paulbots can only blame themselves.
