Congressional Candidate Karen Harrington visited the South Florida Jewish Academy, a special needs school located in Boca Raton to meet with the facility’s educators and obtain a better understanding of the curriculum being taught at the school. The current problems that special needs programs face can seem insurmountable, but Harrington feels that these challenges can be addressed and that public schools can take a page out of the playbook from similar private special needs programs like this. This special needs school is spearheaded by Mrs. Baila Gansburg with the assistance of very patient and understanding staff.
The work of Mrs Baila Gansburg and her dedicated staff at the South Florida Jewish Academy proves that you can make a difference and change lives. Our Public school system can certainly take lessons from the creative and innovative approaches to education of Special needs individuals that this school and teachers achieve. This therapy room is truly an incredible achievement as well as seeing the love that these children have for the school.I have heard a lot about the Work Of Chabad- Lubavitch and as I travel the district, as well as surrounding communites, I am able to see firsthand their outreach and the vast scope of their programs. I look forward to seeing and visiting more of these centers of outreach and goodwill as the campaign goes forward. – Karen Harrington
Mrs. Gansburg then thanked the Orthodox Alliance of Florida, a non-partisan association and its Chairman Rabbi Yehuda Kaploun for arranging the visit. Rabbi Kaploun stated that the Orthodox Alliance of Florida, currently is working with 80 leading Orthodoox Rabbis throughout the state , looks forward to working with all the candidates who will promote an agenda that helps the Jewish community and displays unwavering support for Israel. Rabbi Kaploun also stated that the Jewish vote should no longer be taken for granted by any candidate or by any party.
