Congressman Allen West has been a consistent opponent of irresponsible military budget cuts that clearly compromise the U.S. Military’s preparedness and readiness to effectively operate in any theater of operations. West has followed up on the deadly Chinook helicopter incident in Afghanistan where 30+ Navy Seals died 3 months ago, and based on information he has reviewed, he’s come to the conclusion that the downing of the aircraft was partly to do with the ‘availability’ of Chinooks.
“The availability of U.S. Special Operations Chinook class helicopters were part of why that happened.”
