Congratulations, Orlando! You have the distinction of being one of the first cities to feature a roadway named in honor of the 44th President of the United States, Barack H. Obama.
The President Barack Obama Parkway will encompass a nine mile stretch from Conroy Rd that ultimately connects to US 441 in Apopka. I can feel the pride gushing over from the residents of that small town all the way down here in Broward County.
In a saner world, it would take many more years of public service or some very meritorious accomplishments to merit such a distinction, but no longer. The cult of personality surrounding Barack Obama and the attendant idolatry of the man is undeniable amongst far too many of his supporters. It’s particularly disturbing for those of us who clearly comprehend his actual accomplishment- the sowing of an unprecedented amount of chaos, division, and economic destruction across the country- facts that are clear as day and yet oblivious to the invincibly ignorant.
