Senator Marco Rubio just delivered the proverbial bofetada (Spanish for slap to the face) to Spanish language television’s Univision by appearing on Univision’s rival, Telemundo. This move by Rubio was a clear swipe at Univision for the egregious and uncalled for investigative attack piece the network put out on Rubio a couple of weeks back.(Univision Puts a Hit on Senator ‘Scarface’ Rubio) Univision decided to bring out the already known fact that when Rubio was 16, his brother-in-law was arrested on drug charges and did a stint in prison. Sources say that during the 2010 Senatorial race, credible news sources stayed away from this story because it was not pertinent to the race itself.
