by Javier ManjarresThe Broward Tea Party recently staged a demonstration outside of Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz’ Pembroke Pines office to voice their disapproval of her full embrace of President Obama’s failed policies as well for as her questionable conduct on the House floor when she recently singled out Congressman Allen West in a brazen partisan attack. Tea party founder Charles Robertson (pictured) founded the group a few months ago, and already their numbers have quadrupled since its founding.
The two Republican candidates vying to unseat Congresswoman Wasserman-Schultz- Karen Harrington and Joe Kaufman were both in attendance and each addressed the crowd of about two hundred to wrap-up Saturday’s event.
Julie Gerber, Director of the newly formed Broward Republican Jewish Outreach, was also in attendance and took some time to discuss a new project of hers- a project that could prove decisive in the heavily Jewish Congressional District. Gerber’s latest meeting featured Independent radio show host Joyce Kaufman, U.S. Senate candidate Adam Hasner, and both Karen Harrington and Joe Kaufman.
Recent national polls show that President Obama has taken a big hit in the Jewish community for his support of a “peace agreement” between a newly created Palestinian and Israel which would require it to fall back behind its indefensible 1967 border lines- Wasserman-Schultz also embraced the Presidents controversial proposal, and it could very well lead to her defeat in November 2012.
