It’s probably not what you’re thinking- Congressman Allen West took to the ice this weekend in support of underprivileged kids at the Saveology.com Iceplex in Coral Springs, FL. Little did the congressman know that a rogue Shark was also circling the rink and taking measure of the Congressman’s skating abilities. I eventually caught up with West and interrogated him about the event and his skating prowess while El Sharko floundered and hit the deck several times. Congressman West’s hockey skills won’t earn him a tryout with the Florida Panthers anytime soon (check out his wrist shot attempts on net), but he definitely knows how to mix it up on the boards and showed that he can throw elbows with the best of hockey’s enforcers. 😉
