U.S. Senate candidate and Florida Senate President Mike Haridopolos is now in full campaign mode as he was busy campaigning throughout South Florida this past week. During one of his scheduled events, Senator Haridopolos and Congressman Allen West jointly addressed a small business group Friday morning in Deerfield Beach. With the Florida legislative session closed, Haridopolos is now focused on his bid to unseat Democrat Senator Bill Nelson in next year’s U.S. Senate race. Haridopolos is part of a crowded Republican field of candidates that includes former Senator George LeMieux, Adam Hasner, and Mike McCallister.I met up with Senator Haridopolos at a senior center in Sweetwater, Florida where he and his wife Stephanie took part in a ‘pig roast’ for the local ‘seasoned’ citizens that live in the Sweetwater area. Haridopolos, sporting a nifty white ‘Guayabera’ shirt, was surprised by one of the attendees when she asked him to dance a little ‘salsa’ with him. Being the good sport, Haridopolos obliged her by doing his best to hide his obvious “two left feet” dancing ability. Senator Haridopolos should take pride in his performance, not many men can hold their own when trying to dance salsa, just ask Senator Marco Rubio and Congressman David Rivera.
During our brief Q & A session, Haridopolos stated that he supported the Paul Ryan budget plan in the U.S. Congress and also that he would not support raising the debt ceiling, citing that Congress needs a balance budget amendment similar to the one in place here in Florida.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
