Former Florida House Majority Leader Adam Hasner has announced that he will run for the U.S. Senate in 2012. Hasner had formed a Senatorial Exploratory Committee to test the waters for a possible run, and was criss-crossing the state in hopes of garnering the support needed to move forth with his bid. He must have liked what he heard on the trail because there was speculation that his announcement would not come until the summer. Hasner formally announced his candidacy minutes ago on ‘The Mark Levin Show’ show, and Levin subsequently endorsed Hasner’s candidacy. Levin aka ‘The Great One’ is considered to be a staunch no BS Conservative that got behind Senator Marco Rubio early on in his 2010 Senatorial campaign.“On issue after issue, from the stimulus to Obamacare, Senator Bill Nelson has been a rubber stamp for the Obama agenda. Florida needs a Senator that will fight for Florida, not President Obama’s reelection,” said Hasner.
Added Hasner, “It’s not just about Senator Nelson. The reality is Washington is going the wrong direction and both parties have been at fault. To turn things around we need honest, limited government leaders who will challenge the leadership on both sides.”-Adam Hasner
