Newly elected Republican Party of Florida Chairman (RPOF)David Bitner and his staff continue to make positive strides in resuscitating the RPOF after years of gluttonous spending and backdoor dealings with the launch of launch of the ‘Greatest Generation Tour’. The Tour is a tribute to the thousands of WWII Veterans that are unfortunately passing away in increasing numbers, but more importantly to honor them for the sacrifices they made that gave us the liberties we have today. Chairman Bitner also discusses the potential move of the primary to an earlier date, a move that the Florida Legislature is in favor of but he and the RPOF oppose. RNC Chairman Reince Preibus has already warned the RPOF that there would be significant penalties for moving the primary date up. Bitner detailed some of the key negotiating points currently being discussed with the Florida Legislature, as a possible compromise could be in the works to move up the date and avoid penalty.
Chairman Bitner also announced ‘Presidency 5’, an event planned for late September that will bring thousands of delegates together to conduct a Presidential straw poll as well as a debate with the declared presidential candidates.
