Former Republican House Majority Leader Adam Hasner continues to make the rounds in his potential 2012 U.S. Senate run. Hasner has previously expressed his interest in a Senate bid and recently told me that, “it’s no secret that I would like to run for Congress.” Last week, Leader Hasner flew to Washington, D.C. to meet with grassroots activists, media types, and several influential politicos about this possible run for the Senate.
Hasner has also been at the forefront of the anti-Islamic fundamentalism movement, and his expertise on the issue, along with the current situation in Egypt and the unrest throughout the Middle East will be right in his bailiwick. Hasner may announce his candidacy for Senate sometime later this month.
