With President Obama’s approval rating plummeting by the hour and the Democrat-controlled Congress facing its day of reckoning in November, many Democrats in swing districts are in jeopardy of losing their seats to more right of center candidates. One might not think that Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz needs to be worried about her seat because she represents one of those supposedly “safe” districts, but Wasserman is a very polarizing politician who is for the first time in her career is now up against a very credible opponent.FL-20 GOP Congressional candidate Karen Harrington is running a stealthy grassroots campaign that is yielding great promise and support from Independent, Republican and many disgusted Democrat voters. Harrington, along with her small army of volunteeers, have been knocking on hundreds of doors throughout the district and finding that even Democrat voters are tired of the Wasserman-Schultz/Pelosi Congress that jeopardizes their prosperity. Coupled with the failed ‘hope and change’ promise from President Barack H. Obama, and these voters are ready to jump off the sinking Democrat ship.
It is imperative that this growing coalition of Republicans, Independents and Democrats pulls together to help Harrington retire Dr. Debbie and her Death Panels in November. It won’t be an easy task to knock off one of the most well-known Democrats in Congress, but this November is shaping up to be a bloodbath for Democrats that could very well spill over into districts they might not expect.

Pembroke Pines, FL. – As Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz busies herself with one campaign appearance after another in places other than in Florida’s 20th Congressional District, her Democratic Party is very conflicted about its midterm election strategy.
Reasonable people might conclude that after having enacted the most sweeping agenda in this country’s history, financed with record-setting deficit spending that directly threatens our future economic prosperity, Democrats would be proud of their votes and campaign on their signature legislative accomplishment: ObamaCare.
However, just the opposite is proving to be the case.
Congressional Democrats cannot seem to run fast enough away from their own “Inconvenient Truth” – their frenzied legislative cram down of ObamaCare, the federal government’s takeover of our health care system over the objections of the clear majority of the American people.
It was Debbie Wasserman-Schultz who led the charge in Congress for ObamaCare using highly misleading Congressional Budget Office (CBO) projections that assured Americans that deficit reduction would result from the enactment of ObamaCare. Wasserman-Schultz also made a host of other exaggerated and misleading claims that are now unraveling right before our eyes; well before most of the law’s key provisions are even implemented.
With insurance premiums already beginning to rise as a result of misguided government mandates, an average of 10% on individuals, congressional Democrats are backing away from their promise that the law would reduce both costs and deficits, and instead are telling their supporters to change their misleading sales pitch.
The Politico (8/19) reported:
Key White House allies are dramatically shifting their attempts to defend health care legislation, abandoning claims that it will reduce costs and deficit, and instead stressing a promise to “improve it.”
As one claim after another about ObamaCare proves to be fraudulent, Democrats who passed the law no longer want to be associated with it. But even more telling about the law’s failure is the fact that House Democrats are more likely to be campaigning against ObamaCare than they are for it.
As the Politico (9/5) reports:
At least five of the 34 House Democrats who voted against their party’s health care reform bill are highlighting their “no” votes in ads back home. By contrast, party officials in Washington can’t identify a single House member who’s running an ad boasting of a “yes” vote – despite the fact that 219 House Democrats voted in favor of final passage in March.
“Debbie Wasserman-Schultz will never own up to the real consequences of the government takeover of our health care system that she was instrumental in engineering,” said Karen Harrington, Republican candidate for Congress in Florida’s 20th Congressional District. “With health insurance premiums already on the rise, and with claims about deficit reduction and cost savings being abandoned, the failures of ObamaCare are already undeniable, except to blinded partisans such as Debbie Wasserman-Schultz,” said Harrington.
“Rather than admit that the law was ill-conceived from the beginning, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz willfully chooses to remain defiant in the face of mounting evidence that ObamaCare was passed under false pretenses and is already failing the American people. If ObamaCare is not repealed, its consequences over time will be disastrous to our health care system. ObamaCare will slow the responsiveness of our health care system to patients through increased waiting times for specialists and critical procedures, and it will ultimately squeeze money out of the medical industry, which ultimately impedes the development of critical medical innovations that our society has always taken for granted.”
“Instead of heeding the public’s call to pass a true patient-oriented reform of our health care system, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz chose to go in the exact opposite direction, and she replaced the world’s most successful health care system with a government-controlled system that will ultimately dictate people’s most personal health care decisions and place their private medical information in the hands of government bureaucrats- a law from which she conveniently exempted herself. Voters in the 20th Congressional District will remember Debbie’s role in ObamaCare’s passage, as well as her contempt for their common sense,” said Harrington.
