Shortly after President Trump took the proverbial Obama “rules of engagement” handcuffs off the U.S. military, the bombs started flying and ISIS was reduced to a mere 1,000 fighters along the Syrian and Iraqi border.
For years, the Obama administration’s kit glove approach to engaging foreign enemies has cost U.S. and civilian lives, but now that Trump has unleashed the full might of the U.S. military, the tide has turned against ISIS and has once again proven that the Obama foreign policy was nothing more than a complete failure.
The former head of the U.S. Air Force Intelligence, Lt. Gen. David Deptula, says that Obama’s actions resulted in greater collateral damage to the civilian population during the military operations.
“The rules of engagement under the Obama administration were onerous. I mean what are we doing having individual target determination being conducted in the White House, which in some cases adds weeks and weeks…The limitations that were put on actually resulted in greater civilian casualties.”
Deptula added:
“Obama micromanaged the war…We could have accomplished our objectives through the use of overwhelming air power in three months not in three years.”-Fox News
There you have it. Trump’s military actions have crushed ISIS, while Obama’s past command only emboldened their terror groups resolve.
