With Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine (D) entering the 2018 Democratic gubernatorial primary race, former Congresswoman Gwen Graham’s ascension to the top of Florida’s political world has his a big pot hole along her road to success.
As we wrote in a previous story, Levine is willing to spend millions of his personal fortune to win his party’s nomination, and whose political committee has already doubled the fundraising efforts of Graham’s political committees.Levine has $4.6 million while Grahams committees have around $2.5 million.
But unfortunately, or fortunately for Graham, she has the full-throated support from the pro-choice organization, Emily’s List.

During her last congressional run, Graham received “$5,500 from the Planned Parenthood PAC, and is one of Emily’s List top candidates.
Emily’s List is an organization that does not support any candidates unless they are in complete support of their pro-Choice agenda, including the support of partial-birth abortions.”
Emily’s List has doubled-down on Graham in 2017, extending their endorsement to her in their efforts to support five female Democratic gubernatorial candidates looking to “turn red seats blue.”Being considered a proponent of late term abortions is not something any candidate hand his or her hat on.
