I just missed President Trump in Israel, and I couldn’t be happier.
Israel had been gearing up for the visit the last few days I was in country, and the hustle of receiving an American president was evident wherever you went.Like former vice president Joe Biden once said, “this is a big f-ing deal” to go to Israel.
Biden was referring to something else when he uttered that infamous statement to then-President Obama, not referring to travel to Israel.

While Trump is looking to broker the peace between the Israelis and Palestinians, his flight on Air Force One from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to Tel Aviv was a first.
Because the Saudis do not recognize Israel as a state, and diplomatic relations are non-existent between the two, never before has a direct flight taken place between the two countries.
