Kevin Plank, Under Armour’s CEO, was interviewed on CNBC’s “Fast Money Halftime Report.” In the interview, he praised President Donald Trump.
Plank stated that “To have such a pro-business president is something that is a real asset for the country.”
On the campaign trail, President Trump touted a pro-business platform and, upon taking office, he’s signed an executive order calling for the removal of two regulations for every new regulation that’s added. In addition, President Trump also met with business owners like Plank to discuss roadblocks to business growth. It’s also expected that President Trump will roll back Wall Street regulations.
Plank also added that President Trump “wants to build things. He wants to make bold decisions and be really decisive.” This was likely alluding to Trump’s plan to build a wall along the US-Mexican border to crack down on illegal immigration and for his plan to pass a large infrastructure improvement bill.
“I’m a big fan of people that operate in the world of ‘publish and iterate’ versus ‘think, think, think, think, think,'” he said. “So there’s a lot that I respect there.”
Plank’s praise will most likely draw criticism from detractors in the next few days and some people will surely be calling on boycotts to take place.
