Republican senatorial candidate Carlos Beruff is has been pounding incumbent Senator Marco Rubio relentlessly over his missed votes, broken campaign promises and lack of support from Donald Trump, ever since “The American Son” decide to run for reelection to the U.S. Senate.
The entire field of GOP senatorial candidates except for Beruff dropped out of the race when Rubio announced his reelection bid.But with $4 million+ of his own wealth being spent on his senate campaign, Beruff’ significantly trails Rubio in the latest poll taken to gauge the race.
The latest Quinnipiac poll conducted in Florida has Beruff trailing both Democratic senate candidates Reps. Patrick Murphy and Alan Grayson, while Rubio has opened up a double-digit leads against the Democratic Party duo.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Rubio leads Murphy 50-37 percent, and Grayson by a margin of 50-38.
Presumptive GOP presidential candidates Donald Trump leads Hillary Clinton by 2 percent, signally a possible surge for “The Donald,” and surge that could help Rubio and other Republican seeking office or reelection to their respective positions this November.
Rubio needs Trump turn out voters in the state, and Trump needs Rubio to turn out those #neverTrump GOP voters that backed Rubio in the Republican presidential primary race back in March, but say that they would not vote for Trump.Quinnipiac’s survey of 1,015 Florida voters was conducted June 30-July 11 and has an error margin of 3.1 points.
