Republican congressional candidate Rebecca Negron just got another boost to her campaign as the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) has just upgraded her “Young Gun” status from “on the radar” to “contender.”
Negron is running for Congress in Florida’s 18th congressional district to replace outgoing Congressman Patrick Murphy (D).PB Post:
The NRCC on Thursday upgraded Negron from “on the radar” to “contender” status in its Young Guns program, which measures candidates in competitive districts based on a secret set of criteria. Negron, a Martin County school board member and the wife of state Senate President-designate Joe Negron, is one of 11 candidates nationally to reach contender status.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Negron, who many believe is running for Congress to serve as a placeholder for her husband state Senator Joe Negron, can now be considered as the frontrunner in the race.
Combat veteran Brian Mast has long been seen as the top candidate in the race because of his compelling story of survival and perseverance, but Negron’s new status among the GOP establishment is a big deal, and will surely translate into campaign dollars.
Meanwhile, Attorney Rick Kozell, former state Rep. Carl Domino, pundit Noelle Nikpour, and Dr. Mark Freeman, are all making their case as to why they should be elected to be the next member of congress from Florida’s CD 18.
