President Obama has made the decision not to attend a memorial for Chattanooga victims. Instead he is going to Martha’s Vineyard for a vacation with his family.
As reported by The Hill, Joe Biden will attend the memorial on Saturday instead. Biden will be joined by Defense Secretary Ashton Carter, Governor Bill Haslam and other elected officials.The memorial is to honor the five service members who were killed in a terrorist attack by Mohammed Youssuf Abulazeez on July 16th.
Obama has shown disrespect for the situation since it happened. First he waited hours to respond to the shooting because he was celebrating a Muslim holiday at the White House. Right after the shooting he also released a statement telling Americans to respect Muslims. Then, he did not want to lower the flag at the White House to half-staff to honor the victims and only did so mid day after he was getting pressured. Also, He also did not call the attack what it was: a terrorist attack.

After the shooting Governors across the United States have took matters into their own hands and demanded army recruiters should be armed. Some states have called out the National Guard to protect the recruiters.
