On Tuesday night the federal court that was asked to lift the hold placed on President Obama’s executive order immigration reform ruled against the president’s wishes saying the ban will stay.
Judge Andrew Hanen indicated the government misled the court by revealing last month they granted expanded work permit renewals to 100,000 illegal immigrants.Hanen said:
It is obvious that there is no pressing, emergent need for this program.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
More than 20 states have since challenged the president’s immigration actions saying he was not allowed to do it according to the Constitution. Back in February Hanen ruled the courts should decide if the policies were allowed by the Constitution before they are implemented and he issued a stay.
The Justice Department has already petitioned the Fifth Court of Appeals to lift the stay. That court has not decided what to do yet.
