The Republican Party will nominate a hard-right Presidential nominee in 2016. MSNBC’s Chris Matthews stated on his “Softball with Chris Matthews” show, that Republicans will pick Rand Paul to be their party’s presidential nominee.Mr. “Tingle up my leg” Matthews believes that after fielding ‘moderate’ Republicans George H. Bush, Bob Dole, George W.Bush, Mitt Romney and John McCain, the GOP is in position to switch gears and nominate a radical tin-foil hat wearing candidate. Matthews also poked fun at Ted Cruz, saying that he was a bit like Vladamir Putin because he never smiled.
I am surprised that Matthews didn’t think that Ted Cruz would be nominated, as his fellow liberal cohorts in the media all seem to think that Cruz wears a a much larger tin foil hat than Marco Rubio or Rand Paul.
