Rep. Wilson-‘Republicans Want to Fire Millions of Americans’

fredericawilsonHouse Democrats are demanding “a stop to the jobs-killing Sequester and the adoption of a jobs bill on behalf of millions of people looking for work.” That statement is courtesy of Florida Congresswoman Frederica Wilson who took the floor in the House of Representatives to scold House Republicans for wanting to “fire millions more” Americans, and demanding that they push through Obama’s Jobs Act.

Wilson insists that the $16 billion national deficit is not the real deficit, but that “the real deficit is jobs.”

The Republicans in Congress don’t get it, they don’t understand that people are suffering, and struggling, and starving, and looking for work, millions of people are out of work, and this body seeks to fire millions more. Wake up America!-Rep. Frederica Wilson(D-FL)

Wilson’s accusation that the GOP wants to terminate the jobs of millions of Americans is quite the stretch, even for most liberal-minded Democrats. But then again, Democrat Congressman Alan Grayson did say that Republicans want poor people to die.
