What’s Up Next for Congressman Allen West?

By Javier Manjarres

Allen West 2There’s much speculation as to what Congressman Allen West will be doing after his last day of service in the U.S. Congress- 12 o’clock noon on January 2nd, 2013 to be exact.  West unfortunately lost to Democrat Congressman-elect Patrick Murphy by the narrowest of margins, and many believe that West is likely to make another run at Murphy in the 2014 mid-term elections.

While no one really knows what West has planned, even though another congressional run in 2014 is not out of the picture, it is highly unlikely.

Even though West lost his re-election bid, he continues to be one of the most influential and respected conservative voices in the nation. West could very well take the path that outgoing U.S. Senator Jim DeMint has taken and latch on to prominent conservative think tank like the Heritage Foundation, or he may even start his own Political Action Committee (PAC) and could become a ‘king-maker” of sorts.

While the future holds many possibilities for Allen West, one thing is for sure- West will be ‘front and center’ with his sharp criticisms of Democrats whose members are increasingly the true “extremists” as well as the establishment wing of the Republican party which has not supported West as well as they should have since he made his initial foray into politics.

How do we contact Col. West to show support for his future endeavors? Col. West is needed in America. He is an outstanding citizen and the conscience of many Americans. Please communicate how to be in contact and is support of him…get it out to your fosubscribers once it is available. Thanks and Merry Christmas.

I totally agree… I do NOT want to see the last of Allen West.

Allen West is the most inconvenient thing GOP faced in a long time: he is REALLY standing UP against progressive/socialist/communist/fascist/liberal (different names of the same Marx/Niche-based cannibalistic ideology) onslaught on our country while the repubicans just want to stand BY. They abandoned him even before he became a Congressman. Maybe he should abandon them?

  3. Karl Kocher December 24, 2012 at 8:53 am

I hope Allen West stays involved. This country needs him as a Rep – its bad enough we are losing Dr. Paul.
Both of these men share the same qualities which you don’t find in any on the left.

  4. howardfrombroward December 24, 2012 at 8:53 am

how about that “miraculous” eleventh hour democrat vote surge from saint lucie county that put patrick murphy over the top. the democrat supervisor of elections said she was “surprised” about the 141% voter turnout which gave democrat murphy the win over republican allen west. oh, and how about all those mysteriously “unfortunately lost” military votes which didn’t make it to the polls. statistically, our warriors vote 2/3’s republican because they know who takes care of them. these brutal corrupt tammany hall thugs are still at it.

    • Rich December 24, 2012 at 11:42 pm

Why can’t it be that the reason Mr. West lost is because he has a penchant for saying stupid things and the voters decided to elect a more reasonable candidate?
Why does it have to be that Mr. West was cheated out of his seat?
Maybe voters didn’t like that he chooses to run in districts that he doesn’t live in?
Maybe the voters don’t believe his BS about the supposed “communists” in the Congress??

      • BoGo December 25, 2012 at 12:51 pm

Do you even understand what progressives are “progressing” toward? If you did, you would not dismiss Col. West’s comments as stupid.

      • Sandi Trusso December 26, 2012 at 9:13 am

Allen West never says “stupid things”, he sometimes says brilliant things to people who are not bright enough to check them out, and therefore they never get or understand what he says.

He had to be cheated out of that seat, because despite the attacks with erroneous info from the left, once people actually hear this man, they recognize truth, intelligence, bravery, and honor, and with the exception of only a few, everyone supports him. Only the people who have their heads in the sand, believing the dishonesty of the left, do not support Allen West!

Beause the facts are against you, Rich.

      • Jack December 27, 2012 at 10:09 pm

Rich, no BS here. There are too many communists in our congress. It’s a fact. Some are proud of the fact. Speaking of stupid comments, how about that democrat that said Guam might tip over if they move too many troops there. Now that is STUPID!

      • MamaG December 28, 2012 at 6:54 am

The answer to your questions may be found when you recognize voter fraud when you see 141% of voters turning out.

I like the ‘think tank’ idea for him. RINO influence here in Florida is so strong, West may very well be more effective strategizing ‘end runs’ around the RPOF than trying to be the candidate himself. Whatever his plans are, I just pray he’ll keep up the good fight, we need him!

  6. Nancy Celano December 24, 2012 at 9:03 am

It is a shame that Congressman West will be out of office. He is a valuable asset. Whatever he does, he will do well, and we offer him our best wishes.

  7. OldmanRick December 24, 2012 at 10:21 am

Remember also that the rino repugnut hierarchy in florida helped to defeat Col Allen West and punish them accordingly.

  8. DeltaDawn December 24, 2012 at 2:25 pm

The RINOs have a lot to answer for after this past election. I am disgusted with all of them because they are the cause for the disaster we will face in these upcoming 4 years. We need Col. West, and I am sure that whatever he decides to do will be best for America. Thank You Col West – the fight was lost because you were betrayed by Republicans…plain and simple.

  9. Nancy December 24, 2012 at 11:00 pm

West for President 2016, out nation’s only hope!

  10. Linda S. December 25, 2012 at 1:32 am

I really wish some representative would nominate Allen West for Speaker of the House of Representatives. You do not have to be an elected member of the House to be the Speaker. Start dialing those phones!

  11. Morena December 25, 2012 at 6:19 pm

Rich: West is 100% correct….the Democrat Party has been taken over by progressive/socialist/communist/fascist/liberal (different names of the same Marx/Niche-based cannibalistic radical ideology) onslaught on our country.

Since these progressives/socialists/communists/fascists/liberals (different names of the same Marx/Niche-based cannibalistic radical ideology) could not beat or defeat our Nation from the outside, they have taken over our schools, media, Democrat Party, our own State Department and now the White House while millions of American sit hypnotized in front of their TVs, computers or video games.

The Tea Party was a breath of fresh air but the media moved in quickly to tarnish their reputation…this is typical of the left and communism…they did it to Mitt as well… their political strategy or philosophy…if you can’t defeat them….ruin their reputation….by falsifying their records or the position.

They do not play fair but DIRTY….Obama is their perfect candidate because they can hide behind the color of his skin while they go about destroying our Nation.

  12. Flolady December 25, 2012 at 6:21 pm

Allen West is a true patriot who is willing to stand up to those who are destroying our nation. We should stand with him and support him.

  13. Morena December 25, 2012 at 6:22 pm

yes…we need to support West on any and all of his goals.

  14. thebocaherald December 27, 2012 at 8:40 am

The poeple could not have been more clear… GET OUT OF HERE MR WEST, and we dont care who we replace you with! Mr. West is a venom spewing statue. A pull-string doll with a unimaginable combination of possible responses. He is a caldron of exploding gunpowder hoping to be ignited by any conservative flame of the moment. A true political disaster is Mr. West’s story. Good Riddens.

  15. Lorena December 27, 2012 at 4:00 pm

We need Allan West for 2016! There is no other like him… Thanks,

  16. GenEarly December 27, 2012 at 4:34 pm

West could have easily won over Nelson for the US Senate. Why didn’t he run? I would like to know.
West can easily win a House seat in Georgia (or even Michigan!) where Repubs are less RINO.

  17. Fred M Pohl December 28, 2012 at 2:28 am

‘The real meaning of the Hagel affair is what it says about the climate inside Washington. Simply put, the question is whether supine and reflexive support for all things Israeli remains a prerequisite for important policy positions here in the Land of the Free. Given America’s track record in the region in recent decades, you’d think a more open debate on U.S. policy would be just what the country needs, both for its own sake and for Israel’s. But because the case for the current “special relationship” of unconditional support is so weak, the last thing that hardliners like Bill Kristol or Elliot Abrams want is an open debate on that subject. If Hagel gets appointed, it means other people in Washington might realize they could say what they really think without fear that their careers will be destroyed. And once that happens, who knows where it might lead? It might even lead to a Middle East policy that actually worked! We wouldn’t want that now, would we?’

  18. Susan Benton December 31, 2012 at 3:57 pm

Chuck Hagel has made it very clear where he stands – and his stand ignores the reality that, as Sec. of State Al Haig said, “Israel is America’s largest aircraft carrier.” Hagel would simply be an Obama mouthpiece as he shares Obama’s hatred of Israel. We need to support Israel and have a clear cut policy which supports liberty and fights tyranny.

Under Obama we have a foreign policy which supports tyranny and ignores or rejects liberty. And not just in the Middle East. Obama turned against the people of Iran in 2009, and then the peoples of Honduras and Eastern Europe (when he cancelled the missle defense shield there).
