Marco Rubio Slams Media For Openly Promoting Sex Slavery

By Javier Manjarres

Miami- Senator Marco Rubio was given a tour of a secret “stash house” that is used by organized human trafficking rings and then addressed the media to call the public’s attention to the illegal multi-billion dollar a year human trafficking industry. Rubio pulled no punches when he called out the liberal Village Voice media outlet for its “egregious” exploitation of young women who are part of the growing human trafficking epidemic that is increasingly gripping the country.

I want to take a moment to call attention to one of the most egregious things going on across our country, and that’s Village Voice Media, who runs a number of newspapers around our country, including the New Times here in Miami-Dade County and actively, actively advertising the services of some of these young girls.  Actively, you can go on there and buy a human being for two hours, and you can do that on advertising going on in newspapers being printed in this very town by Village Voice Media.  It is an outrage.

They make millions and millions of dollars selling human beings in this country. – Senator Marco Rubio

I have always liked Marco Rubio. So far he seems like a straight up guy and proving it once again by not being afraid of pointing a finger when it needs to be pointed.

THOSE THAT DO NOT RECOGNIZE THE MAGNITUDE OF THIS REPREHENSIBLE EPIDEMIC, SIMPLY HAVE NOT BEEN ENLIGHTENED TO THE FACTS.

GET EDUCATED, GET INFORMED…AND YOU WILL ALSO SURPRISED.

BTW: I AGREE THAT PERHAPS, LEGAL PROSTITUTION, IF EFFECTIVELY STRUCTURED AND REGULATED, MIGHT HAVE SOME POSITIVE EFFECTS…NOT THE LEAST OF WHICH, AT LEAST THEN WE WOULD NOT HAVE HUNGRY, HURTING THROW-A-WAY KIDS OR 11 YEAR OLD RUNAWAYS…BEING CONNED INTO SELLING THEIR OWN BODIES, JUST TO SURVIVE.

The Broward Human Trafficking Coalition is an excellent place to start…to get educated.

I like Senator Rubio but he is wrong on this one. Prostitution should be legalized and those adds in the New Times is an example of the free market.

This is not about prostitution, its about human trafficking, and how these people are forced into prostitution and other crimes.

      • andrew spark

No, Javier, AnthonyC is right: its about prostitution. There have been a handful of unfortunate incidents nationally, and the issue has been completely demagogued and blown out of proportion by feminists and SoCons. Maybe Marco believes what he is doing is right – but it is without a doubt simply not right.

Forcing prostitution even further underground only adds to what minor problem that does exist, and has potential to make it a major problem. Without sites like backpage, the women who will engage in prostitution anyway are more likely to need pimps.

        • Patriot

Sorry, Andrew and Anthony – this is not just about prostitution; rather, it is about human SLAVERY and that involves little children. An adult prostitute has made his/her own decision; however, a child has been forced into SLAVERY. That is filthy, immoral, and depraved.

          • andrew spark

Its about prostitution – watch the video – he rails against prostitution. He’s dressing his anti-prostitution position as being against human trafficking since he can’t justify his anti-prostitution zeal on the merits of the prostitution issue alone.

          • Rhonda Siegers

You are totally right, “Patriot”…. stop spinning what is 100% KIDNAPPING AND SLAVERY….CALL IT WHAT IT IS KOOL AID DRINKERS

    • CJ

This is not voluntary prostitution; it is sexual slavery, often under-aged, aided and abetted by newspapers that run their ads. Anyone who supports this is no better than a slave owner or child molester.

    • BARIVFS

YOU ARE SO FING SICK… I WILL PRAY THE DEMON IS CAST OUT OF YOU. PROSTITUTION LEGALIZED? YOU MAKE ME WANNA THROW UP. PEOPLE LIKE YOU NEED TO BE CAST INTO THE PITS OF HELL WITH A MIND AS WEAK AS YOURS. YOU NEED TO GET RIGHT WITH THE LORD JESUS CHRIST PREACHED PROSTITUTION WAS EVIL IN EVERY FORM.

Go get them Marco and put in in jail for a long time.

Where’s the passion when it comes to protecting our borders Mr Rubio?
This country is being over run with millions of illegals and your great plan is the dream act. You are a typical politician who panders for your gain only

    • T Asbury

You couldn’t be more wrong about Mario Rubio. Yes, we’re getting a lot of illegal aliens that the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS ALLOWING TO HAPPEN but not because of Sen. Rubio. He is NOT for the Dream Act and neither is he ‘pandering for his political gain’. Read his book ‘An American Son’ and you’ll know better. Until then: SHUT UP BIG MOUTH!

Every law enforcement agency KNOWS that organized( ones that advertise) prostitution is mob driven, same as internet child pornography. The only way to stop this crim is to have much longer sentences for those who organize or participate in these activities. A minimum mandatory 25 to life sentence would cut out 75% of the problem. Who has the balls to get this legislation passed? Talk is cheap!

Way to go Rubio. Now let’s get Bill Nelson out of the Senate so he doesn’t cancel out your votes.

The Slaves of early America was late getting their freedom in 1865. The Congress was late again Abolishing The White Slave Trade in 1910. The Slave Trade in modern time in America, again is the rsult of politicl policy.
arco Rubio did klnow about The Slave Trade before he got to D.C. He was well aware of it as a State Senator.I don’t know why the Shark Tank reports what is convienent ?

Wake up people—its about supply and demand–where there is demand someone will supply. If someone wants to be with a woman and will pay for it -it will happen–regardless of the law or penalty.

Just the same, if some one wants to molest or mutilate or kill a child for sport and is willing to pay for it some one will provide the child and the venue.

Before you call people out on this you must look long and hard in the mirror and ask “what have I done to remedy this”.

We as a society have fostered this behavior. Destruction of the home, loss of moral compass. Ritual gratification of sex/vice in public media and within organizations (schools and churches) and among high ranking individuals in governments goes unanswered.

The truth is we like it this way–or we would change it.
