Allen West on Weiner-Gate- “At the End of the Day, I’m Too Tired”

by Javier Manjarres

Congressman Anthony Weiner has finally come clean and admitted that he was the one solely responsible for his lewd Twitter activity, and he has apologized to Andrew Breitbart, his wife, and others who were hurt throughout the whole ‘Weinergate’ saga.  Congressman Allen West was asked his thoughts about Weiner-gate, and he humorously reassured his wife and daughters that he won’t let them down by because “at the end of the day I’m  too tired.”   You have to appreciate the way Congressman West deadpanned his response to the Weiner question from the audience –  too funny!

OMG! Too Funny!!! But Anthony Weiner must resign!!

C’mon, Sharky! Where’s the rest of the tape?

You handled that curve ball very well, Mr. West. BUT …why you didn’t call on this low-life Weiner to resign or agree that he should resign is a bit baffling to me. Is there some code that as a freshman Rep you can’t comment on this POS who has been there for 13 PLUS years? If one of your troops had done this under your command, what would you have done?

Just some “Food for Thought”, sir. I say this because if you were my President, I would expect you to demand his immediate resignation. I am hoping your throw your hat into the Presidential ring..YOU are needed and much better than those who have announced thus far, IMO.

Hi, Whats_Up! Long time no see!

I’m thinking that Allen West is letting the Ethics Committee, Weiner’s wife, and Weiner himself handle this. I liked the way West put some humor into focus.

  • District 22 Voter.

Ya, whats up with Allen lately??? Since when is he scared to answer a question like that? I hope he ain’t gettin all typical politician/ D.C. on us now all of a sudden What an easy question… The answer is YES!!!

  • Cat

I agree with District 22 voter .. The answer is YES!!!!

He demeaned his office and set himself up for blackmail/extortion. Not to mention one of the women says she tried to call back the number of the phone he used and got a message that it was an outgoing only government phoneline. Sounds like he was using Government resources to me!

    Should he resign … YES!

Well, Cat! Fancy meeting you and Callie here! I feel like I’m at a family reunion!

    Yes, Weiner should resign!

  • Jake Keister

Does the U.S. Congress have a ” Code of Conduct ” ? If so, the answer is simple.

    Hi, Whats_Up!

I said “hello” under the name I use over at AR, but it got deleted somehow.

I’m thinking that West feels that the Ethics Committee, Weiner, and his wife should handle this among themselves.

Mr. West I support you, sir. Always try to remember: act and speak “Presidential” on ALL issues. Trust, but verify…..

Whats_up, District 22 Voter, Cat, I find it interesting that those like you are standing on the sidelines ready to throw barbs at anyone who is not totally walking your line of thinking. I think the Congressman handled the matter very well. His focus is on saving this country, not jumping on the bandwagon to denigrate a low-life democrat. Why can’t you use your time to support a great man like the Colonel instead of trying to make yourselves feel bigger by tearing down someone whose boots you would not be worthy of polishing. Rep. West did the right thing. I know everyone would like him to rail Wiener to the wall, but he is being exactly what we would expect a Rep. to be…diplomatic. Let Wiener face his wife and family and then put him in front of his peers and then they can just brush it under the rug like they did Charlie Rangel.

WEINER WEINER WHAT A WEENY. He needs to resign.
Married only 3 years and already exposing himself to young women. What can I say, he represents New York, let them deal with him.

  • Whats_Up

While I can understand the views of others wanting to make this the business of the House Ethics Committee and letting them do their job and for Mr. West to keep doing his job – I can appreciate that as there is nothing Mr. West can actually DO.

As for Ralph above – barbs? standing on the sidelines? You have NO Clue the work I’ve done to help make Lt. Col. Allen West a National Household Name and he is not even my Rep. Mr. West IS one of a handful I support 100% !!!

  • Alf

The weiner (whiner) has got to apologize to the entire country because he has brought shame on our country and its government with his childlike perversions. It’s not just the people in his district that he has damaged, but of the good citizens of this nation. Resign you fool.

Makes you think twice before shaking the hand of any Congressman. (Were they tweeting recently?) Guess that is why President and First Lady use the fist bump instead of shaking hands. They know what goes on up on Capitol Hill.

  • uberchrist33

I’m surprised at the post asking why West wasn’t more maligning in his response about Weiner. One statement: “He’s an Officer and a Gentleman.”

Who Should FreedomWorks PAC Endorse in the Florida Senate Race?

Congressman Allen West would be may first choice. He is a conservative, smart, inspiring and has integrity. He has a loyal following here in Florida and has national media recognition and can raise money across the country. In fact, I have someone who will pledged $10,000 to his campaign if he will run. I believe Allen West can beat Bill Nelson and will inspire the voters to come out on election day and put Florida on the Republican side in the Presidential Election. Please consider endorsing and urge Congressman Allen West to run.

    As for the other candidates.

Adam Hasner would be my second choice. Not as inspiring as West or Rubio but beats out the rest of the field and can beat Nelson.

George Le Mieux a nonstarter, doubts about his conservatism because of his close association with Charlie Crist.

Mike Haridopolos, know way in hell will I vote for him. As State Senate President he should have lead the charge on the E- Verify Immigration bill. He showed know leadership. And it was a bill that was being pushed very hard by the TEA PARTY in Florida and we will not forget it. He screwed up big time on that.

Love West’s response on this one. If the Ethics Committee wants to retain ANY credability they will put Weiner down. For his moral terpitude and for his use of government office communications to carry out his tawdry actions.
Thanks again Allen for being on the mark.

ex- president clinton shot his wiener, wiener shot photos. I dont think he should step down!!!!

  • Jason

I love Allen West: “First of all it’s “Weiner (pronunciation emphasis)” . Too funny.

Weiner must resign! The hypocrisy of the left, and the silence of the right, I might add is deafening!!!

Mark Foley, Craig Lee, both Republicans, were forced to resign over much lesser offenses, or equal offenses. If Weiner didn’t have a D after his name the left would be calling for him to be hung, and not the kind Weiner likes.

I encourage everyone to call the House Ethics Commiteee and DEMAND he be forced to resign! He’s a LIAR so how can he trusted to represent the best interests of NYer’s and the American people. His vote affects me in another state.

Call and ask for the House Ethics Commitee:

    1-877-851-6437 or 10877-851-6437
