While other states are tightening their gun laws, Florida is loosening theirs. Now Floridians who want to renew or apply for a concealed weapon license they can do so at their local tax collectors’ office.
Two counties so far have joined the statewide program for gun owners. They include St. Johns and Nassau county. Other county tax collectors offices are joining forces with the Agriculture Department in an effort to process license soon. They are: Walton, Hillsborough, Martin, Brevard, Marion, Lee, Pinellas, Pasco, Highlands, Okaloosa and Indian River.Commissioner Adam Putnam announced the changes. He said:
We have a factor of convenience that our tax collector partners like Dennis Hollingsworth offer, where you’re close by to home or office to run down, know you can have the application of renewal efficiently processed and receive it shortly thereafter.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
He also said by partnering with tax collectors it will guarantee people who are eligible are not denied.
