Governor-elect Ron DeSantis has released a video addressing the citizens of the sunshine state concerning the Election returns.
As controversial recounts for Florida’s Gubernatorial, Senate and Florida Agriculture races take place, Governor-elect DeSantis is taking time to thank everyone that has been involved in order to elect him to take over for term-limited Florida Governor Rick Scott. He asserts that “With the election behind us, it’s now time to come together as a state as we prepare to serve all Floridians.”
Governor-elect DeSantis adds that “Since Tuesday night, that is what I have been doing and that is what I will continue to do in the days and weeks ahead as I prepare to take office as the 46th Governor of the State of Florida.”

On Saturday, Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum rescinded his concession, telling reporters that “since that time, more information has come in.”
However, the final tabulation of voters showed that Governor-elect DeSantis had a 33,684 lead against the Tallahassee Mayor, which is 0.41% of the final votes cast.
Governor-elect DeSantis did not mention the recounts in the address, and only provided a hopeful and confident message when looking towards the future. Governor Scott and Congressman Matt Gaetz, however, along with other Republican lawmakers have been more vocal in combating what they feel is an air of voter fraud looming over the recounts. And, as the story has developed, suspicious activity has occurred under Brenda Snipes, controversial Broward Elections Supervisor who’s faced criticism and has even violated state and federal laws.Still, the Governor-elect assures that his energy is being focused on creating “an administration that can secure Florida’s future.” His focus is on continuing the work that Governor Scott accomplished, and the recounts don’t seem to be leaving a dent in his transition efforts.
