As election day inches closer, the race for Florida’s next Governor is too close to call.
In response, Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi and Mayor Rudy Guiliani will be coming out to bat on behalf of Congressman Ron DeSantis.
On Sunday, they will meet at a campaign stop in South Daytona, and the rally will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the Volusia County REC Headquarters.
This comes after President Trump has been actively campaigning on behalf of Congressman DeSantis and other Florida lawmakers, and President Trump is also holding a second rally this weekend in Pensacola. He will be hosting the MAGA rally at the ST Engineering Hangar is an effort to celebrate Governor Rick Scott’s successful job creation record as Governor.
It’s reported that ST Engineering is going to bring 400 additional jobs into the area that uses the facility, and this comes after Governor Scott’s decition to commit $4 million in incentives from his Job Growth Fund.
Giuliani has slammed Congressman DeSantis’ opponent in the race, Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum, for his ongoing FBI investigation into possible corruption. Recently, Giuliani commented that “The Democrat candidate for Governor in Florida is reportedly under criminal investigation by the FBI. His city has highest crime in State. He wants to raise your taxes. I’m not sure you know this because the press has been sickenly biased. Vote for Ron DeSantis.”
In addition, Bondi, though endorsing Florida Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam in the primaries, has since stressed her support for Congressman DeSantis because of his pro-law enforcement position.
A new CNN poll released earlier this week indicated that the Governor’s race and the Senator’s race will be going down to the wire into election night. Democratic candidates Mayor Andrew Gillum and Senator Bill Nelson are ahead, but they are ahead by a slight lead.
