Democratic gubernatorial nominee Andrew Gillum has been called everything from a Socialist, a Communist, and even a racist.
Gillum is backed by Socialist ideologue George Soros, not because he’s a nice guy, but because his views are in line with those of the philanthropist.
Gillum is soft on immigration, preferring to see a more “compassionate” approach to immigration reform.
Florida’s Agriculture Commissioner and former Republican gubernatorial candidate Adam Putnam was one of the first to call out Gillum for supporting ‘Sanctuary cities.’
Putnam pointed to Gillum’s opposition to President Trump’s legal immigration policies.
“ Gillum took to Twitter and posted a lengthy statement to attack Trump’s decision as “inconsistent with our highest values,” adding the United States can “protect national security interests and have a secure border without criminalizing people who are here undocumented.”-Politifact
With the 2016 mid-term election less than two months away, Gillum has a slight lead in the polls over his Republican opponent Ron DeSantis.
If Gillum wins, will he push his apparent pro-Sanctuary cities ideology statewide?
If so, will Floridians see an uptick in crime, and could Florida become a ‘Sanctuary State’ under the leadership of Andrew Gillum?
