The Associated Builders and Contractors of Florida have just formally endorsed Ashley Moody in her bid to become Florida’s next Attorney General. They join a long list of other associations that have endorsed Moody’s efforts like the Florida Police Chief’s Association, the Florida Police Benevolent Association, more than 40 county sheriffs and even Florida’s current Attorney General Pam Bondi.
George Cuesta, the Florida association’s chair, commented that the “Associated Builders and Contractors of Florida is proud to endorse Ashley Moody for Attorney General. Her steadfast support of reducing barriers to increase innovation and promote job creation, will make her an excellent partner to the Commercial Construction industry. These contractors are not just employers but are also the lifeblood of Florida’s growth.”
In response to the endorsement, Moody detailed that “I appreciate the confidence the Associated Builders and Contractors have in my ability to combat the tough issues facing our state. As Attorney General, I will use my years of experience as a business attorney, prosecutor, and judge to ensure those that scam vulnerable citizens and frivolously tax our judicial system are held accountable.”
Ashley Moody is a former circuit court judge and prosecutor, and she faces state Representative Frank White in the primaries.
