Could the end of the road already be here for Democratic Senator Bill Nelson?
Maybe, but the fat lady hasn’t begun to sing, and there is still a lot of time until Floridians take to the polls November’s mid-term election, and decide who they want to represent them in the U.S. Senate.Nelson is running against Florida Governor Rick Scott, who has just overtaken him by 5 points in the latest CBS public opinion poll.
For Nelson to retain his seat, a seat that many national Democrats are all-but conceding to Republicans, Nelson must mount an energy-filled and well-funded campaign. There is no way around it. Nelson really needs to step it up a notch because hi low energy campaign appears to be on life support, while Scott’s is just getting started.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
According to the latest Real Clear Politics average of polls, Scott’s lead over nelson is +2. Leading by +2 is not a significant advantage at this juncture in the campaign, but it could be a sign that Scott is pulling away from his opponent.
Meanwhile, both Scott and Nelson continue to traverse the state touching on all issues that matter to Floridians.
