Democrats like U.S Rep. Ted Deutch (D) continue to exploit the deaths of 17 innocent students and teachers at Parkland High School, by blaming the gun used in the shooting and refusing to point the finger at the actual shooter, Broward County Jail inmate 18-1958, aka Nikolas Cruz.
Not only do these Democrats refuse to blame inmate 18-1958, as Hunter Pollack, the brother of slain Meadow Pollack, refers to shooter Nikolas Cruz as, but Deutch & Co. still can’t bring themselves to blame their friends over at the Broward County School Board and the Broward Sheriff’s Office for their inactions that facilitated Cruz to commit the crime. Now, the Broward School Board has to answer for why Cruz, with so many prior infractions while attending Westglades Middle School and Marjory Stoneman Douglas H.S., was never properly disciplined.
After first denying that he was referred to or admitted into any school disciplinary program, School Board Superintendent Robert Runcie and school board members are now admitting that Cruz was indeed referred into such a program during his days in middle school and when he attended Stoneman Douglass.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Cruz never attended or completed his stint in the program, and administrators appear to have turned a blind eye to his truancy without batting an eye.
According to the Sun-Sentinel, School Board Superintendent Robert Runcie “Cruz had been referred to the program in 2013 for vandalizing a bathroom. Cruz did not complete the three-day stint, the district told the Sun Sentinel, but administrators haven’t said why.”
.@RobertwRuncie and the @browardsheriff failed us by setting a culture of leniency into @browardschools. They make it so criminals can slip through the cracks when committing their crimes at school. Then both lied after their poor policy failed 17 people. #FIXIT

.@RobertwRuncie lied about the shooters behavior record to protect his failed disciplinary programs that he implements into our schools. The less arrests the more government money he gets. We need someone not corrupt for the job. #FixIt

But of all the school infractions that landed Cruz in hot water, the one incident that stands out above the rest was when Cruz was found carrying ammunition in his backpack after being suspended for fighting.
“Charo, his former classmate, said Cruz had earlier been suspended from Stoneman Douglas High for fighting — and also because he was found with bullets in his backpack. Sheriff Israel said at a news conference that Cruz had been expelled for “disciplinary reasons” but he did not provide any details of what led to that action.”-Miami HeraldUnder the embattled and controversial PROMISE program the school board has implemented, bringing ammunition to school does not fall under the guidelines of the program, and Cruz should have been arrested for it, but BSO and the school allowed him to get away with the offense.
See here.
It was this arrestable offense that slipped through the cracks. Had BSO and the school board administration been more diligent, they may have prevented the school shooting in Parkland, but both agencies failed to keep the community safe.
With Runcie and the school board in the hot seat over the shooting, an active movement is underway led by Andrew Pollack, father of Meadow, to flip the entire Broward School board.
Activist John Daly, Sr. of Coral Springs has also been pushing for the ouster of the entire school board, and backs several individuals, including former Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School teacher, Dr. Richard Mendolson.Mendolson has been openly supporting the hardening of schools, saying that increasing the number of “qualified and armed Security Personnel, and use current technology to assist in identification of threats in an immediate fashion,” adding that correcting or eliminating “any policy or practice that decreases the ability of school-based Administration to successfully remove students who pose a threat to the safety of our schools and our children.”
From the looks of it, heads may roll at the Broward School board and the Sheriff’s office, but don’t expect Democrats like Deutch and Wasserman Schultz to slow down their “anti-gun”, “blame-the-gun and not the criminal” agenda.
