Governor Rick Scott continues on the offensive as his new advertisement touches on the “Washington Change” theme that he’s been championing since announcing his Senate run to unseat Democratic Florida Senator Bill Nelson.
The 30-second advertisement titled “Results” highlights the Governor’s call for congressional term limits that he already dedicated an advertisement for, but this one is a sequel of sorts. It begins with Scott explaining that “If Washington was a business, it would be going bankrupt. It would be bankrupt by now.” He says this would be so because “they don’t accomplish anything” and because “they’re not solving problems.”Although Senator Bill Nelson is not named in the advertisement, he is seeking his fourth term in the Senate and Governor Scott has gone on record time and time again criticizing the Senator for accomplishing very little while in office. And, Scott recently took to attacking the Senator for only contributing to expanding government and failing to vote for the Republican bill.
Scott’s campaign also disclosed that the advertisement will run on the internet and on television, and it is backed by $2 million of air time.

He concludes the advertisement by saying that “If you’re not accomplishing anything, you should not be in Washington.”
