The U.S. has finally done to the United Nations what many Americans have hoped they would do for many, many years, it slashed its budget for the “world governing body.”
The U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley announced this past weekend that she plans to slash $285 million from the biennial operating budget for fiscal year 2018-2019.“The inefficiency and overspending of the United Nations are well known. We will no longer let the generosity of the American people be taken advantage of or remain unchecked…“This historic reduction in spending – in addition to many other moves toward a more efficient and accountable U.N. – is a big step in the right direction.”-Ambassador Nikki Haley
