When will Florida Governor Rick Scott (R) announce his run for the US Senate?
Who knows, and does it really matter? He’s gonna do it.One of the worst kept secrets in Florida is that Scott will challenge incumbent Senator Bill Nelson (D in the 2018 general election. My guess is that he will either officially announce a senate run before the start of next year’s legislative session.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
While he continues to dodge reporters , including myself, whenever he is asked about his intentions to run against Nelson, Scott has been ramping up his foreign policy bona fides, taking a hardline position against both the Cuban and Venezuelan regimes.
Scott’s latest tweet appears to be another not-so-subtle attempt to veil a probably senate run, as the governor presses for the promotion of “democracy and human rights in Latin America.”
The tweet promotes the upcoming 5th annual Latin America Ethics Summit in Miami, but can read between the lines. Dale! (Cuban slang for something. I am not of Cuban descent. Just saying.)
I look forward to the opportunity to build relationships that will promote democracy and human rights in Latin America. pic.twitter.com/kyGNy4vxfa
