On Wednesday Governor Rick Scott was in Jacksonville and Clay County meeting with constituents and pushing to help families who could lose job opportunities with the cuts to Enterprise Florida.
Lawmakers have voted to strip funding to the state’s economic development department.Scott met with Jacksonville leaders and Mayor Lenny Curry to discuss jobs, the economy and health care.
He also talked about the recent Florida House vote to eliminate Enterprise Florida as reported by Action News.

Both Governor Scott and Mayor Curry disagreed with the decision of the state lawmakers.
Curry said:
Members of the Duval Delegation, we agree on a lot of issues, we agree on most issues, we disagree on this issue. I think it’s a big disagreement, it’s a(n) important one that can have a negative impact of the people of Jacksonville.
Scott said:
What I ask everybody is, be active, talk to your House and Senate members, right here in North Florida.
After Scott met with the residents of Jacksonville he went to Cecil Field to meet with military members and then he went to the Clay County Boy Scouts 12-points dinner at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
