President Donald Trump continues to put his political money where his mouth is, as the US Department of Justice has requested the extradition of a Hamas terrorist responsible for the murders of two Americans in 2001.
In keeping with his promise to combat “radical Islamic terrorism,” Trump has pressed for the terrorist’s extradition, something neither the Bush nor the Obama administrations attempted to do.Ahlam Tamimi, the terrorist responsible for the August 9, 2001 Sbarro pizzeria bombing in Israel that killed 15 and wounded 130, was released from an Israeli prison in 2011.
Tamimi’s release was part of the Gilad Schalit-Hamas prisoner swap.

Florida Congressman Ron DeSantis (pictured) , who sits on the House Subcommittee on National Security, used his time in a hearing of the committe to express his gratitude to President Trump for seeking to extradite Tamimi.
“For years, terrorist Ahlam Al-Tamimi has openly bragged about her role in planning a terrorist attack that killed two Americans in Jerusalem and injured four more. Yet for too long, our government failed to file criminal charges, part of a disturbing trend for American victims of Palestinian terrorism in Israel that our committee has highlighted.
I thank the Trump administration and the Department of Justice for their work on this case and their continued efforts to pursue terrorists who harm Americans abroad. I am glad that justice is finally being sought for Malki Roth and Judith Greenbaum and am glad our committee played a part in highlighting this issue.”-Rep. Ron DeSantis (R)
