President Trump is in Mar-a-Lago this weekend after meeting with a school in Orlando on Friday to assure that his education agenda will emphasize on school choice.
Amidst all this work, President Trump, in a series of tweets this morning, has accused the Obama administration of wiretapping his Trump Tower phones before the 2016 Presidential election.Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my "wires tapped" in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!

Is it legal for a sitting President to be "wire tapping" a race for president prior to an election? Turned down by court earlier. A NEW LOW!

I'd bet a good lawyer could make a great case out of the fact that President Obama was tapping my phones in October, just prior to Election!

How low has President Obama gone to tapp my phones during the very sacred election process. This is Nixon/Watergate. Bad (or sick) guy!

Kevin Lewis, a spokesperson for President Obama, called President Trump’s allegation false, and explained that “A cardinal rule of the Obama administration was that no White House official ever interfered with any independent investigation led by the Department of Justice.” In addition, he said that “As part of that practice, neither President Obama nor any White House official ever ordered surveillance on any US citizen. Any suggestion otherwise is simply false.”
In response to the allegations, South Carolina Republican Senator Lindsay Graham also chimed in at a town hall meeting he held with constituents by saying that “The President of the United States is claiming that the former President of the United States ordered wiretapping of his campaign last year. I don’t know if it’s true or not, but if it is true, illegally, it would be the biggest political scandal since Watergate.” He also added that “If the former President of the United States was able to obtain a warrant lawfully to monitor the Trump campaign for violating law, that would be the biggest scandal since Watergate.”
