Many who know him couldn’t believe his marriage would last this long, but 60-year-old Rep. Charlie Crist (D) has decided to end his 9-year marriage with wife Carole,47.

Mrs.Crist was not you typical hands-off politics spouse. Carole was all about controlling Charlie’s campaigns. One source, who asked that their name be kept out of any story about Crist, confirmed what many others already suspected in that Carole wanted to call all the shots.

Carole even insisted that Charlie use her design as his logo in his failed 2014 gubernatorial campaign against Gov. Rick Scott.
The source said that Carole tried to control all aspects of Crist’s campaigns, even before she officially came on board Team Crist during his successful congressional run last year.
The news of the Crist separation will surely fuel the decades long rumors that Rep. Crist was never the marrying type and was never really a “ladies man” to begin with.Good luck to both Charlie and Carole.
