For many Floridians, the unthinkable has happened. After defeating Rep. David Jolly this past November, Charlie Crist is finally going to Washington, D.C to legislate.
Now Crist, who has said he has s faith in what President-elect Donald Trump looks to bring to the table, needs to put together a staff of presumably like-minded individuals to help him navigate through the “swamp” that is Capitol Hill.
Crist is going establishment with his first hiring. Austin Burrer, who worked for Rep. Jim Moran for 13 years will serve as his Chief of Staff.
“Austin brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and a strong, steady hand to this important position. He’s an impact player who will build our team in Washington with a laser-like focus on serving the people of Pinellas County.”-Rep-elect Charlie Crist (D)-TB Times
With Crist in the House, and Rubio winning a second term in office, is there a chance that the men will someday hold hands, sing Kumbaya, and file joint legislation? Not sure if Rubio and Crist will be coming together anytime soon, but what I do suspect is that Crist is probably eyeing another future U.S. Senate run.
No, you don’t think so? C’mon, this is Charlie Crist we are talking about.
