One of Senator Marco Rubio’s friends and colleagues in the U.S. Senate is Democratic Senator Bill Nelson.
Even though Nelson is in lock-step with President Obama’s agenda, he and Rubio have been able to work together on pressing issues like Veteran Affairs and the ongoing Venezuelan community struggle with Venezuela’s dictator, President Nicolas Maduro. But now that Trump was won the presidency, the political world begins to pivot towards the 2018 mid term elections, where Florida Governor Rick Scott is positioning himself to take on Senator Nelson.
Will Rubio target his friend during his re-election by siding with his party’s presumptive senatorial candidate, or will he sit this election cycle out?
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
“I don’t know. Running for office is a decision people have to make on their own…I want us to have a Republican majority and grow that majority, but I have a good working relationship with Bill Nelson, so I’m not going to jump into an electoral argument right now.”-Sen. Marco Rubio via Gary Fineout.
Rest assured that Rubio will get sucked into this race, and become part of the political discourse in this race, regardless of what he decides to do.
