President-elect Donald J. Trump and his wife Melania Trump have just arrived to the White House on “Trump Force One” to meet with President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama to discuss a peaceful transition of administrations.
Yesterday, the President spoke shortly after Hillary Clinton gave her concession speech, and he asked Americans to respect the decision that was made on Tuesday by voters. “We are now all rooting for his success in uniting and leading the country,” he said, adding that it’s because “we all want what’s best for this country.”
This comes at a time when protests and riots have erupted across the United States against Donald Trump from critics that say Trump is “not my President.”
In his election acceptance speech, Trump pledged “to every citizen of our land that I will be President for all of Americans, and this is so important to me. For those who have chosen not to support me in the past, of which there were a few people, I’m reaching out to you for your guidance and your help so that we can work together and unify our great country.”
