With less than a week left in the 2018 campaign cycle, Senator Marco Rubio (R) campaigned alongside South Carolina Senator Tim Scott (R) in the Overtown community of Miami, Florida, where the two met with black pastors to discuss Scott’s new initiative to combat inner city poverty.
He’s finishing out this campaign surrounded in controversy
During a short question and answer session with reporters, Rubio said that his senatorial opponent, Rep. Patrick Murphy ’s (D) campaign finance issues was just one more “controversial” issue
that has “surrounded” his campaign. Rubio quickly equated Murphy’s ongoing controversies with those of Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.
