Florida’s Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam continues making all the right political moves, and say all the right things leading up to his all-but certain 2018 gubernatorial campaign.
Forget about going to bat for those poor Key Deer that are being eaten alive by those nasty Screwworms, or his clean water ideas for the state of Florida. These things don’t really matter until after November 8.
Putnam has joined the ranks of Senator Marco Rubio, Gov. Rick Scott, AG Pam Bondi, and other high ranking Republican elected officials to reassert there support for GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
After backing fellow establishment Republican Governor Jeb Bush’s presidential bid, and then Rubio’s, Putnam did not go somewhere and start pouting about Trump was a bad presidential candidate, instead Putnam did what all loyal Republicans do.
He shut up, sucked it up, and backed Trump.
Absent of some cataclysm, I believe that the change he’s going to bring to this nation, his underlying views and philosophies as it relates to the role of government and taxation in peoples’ lives, are preferable to Hillary Clinton’s.”-Commissioner Adam Putnam (TB Times)
Putnam’s words echo those of many Republicans who use to be anti-Trump, but have now realized that in less than three weeks, there very well could be a Hillary Clinton presidency, if those “Never Trump” voters stay home.
Regardless of whether Trump wins the presidency or not, a Putnam gubernatorial campaign should launch by May 2018.
