On Saturday after Hurricane Matthew passed Verizon Wireless, AT&T and Sprint 911 lines into the Clay County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) were finally back up and running after they went down during the storm.
When some residents tried to call into to the emergency line all they received was a busy signal.On the Sheriff’s Office Facebook page resident’s were advised to call headquarters directly to report emergencies.

Clay County was hit pretty hard by the storm. There was a lot of trees and power lines down, wide spread power outages as well as some flooding. In addition there were reports some officers were not provided food or water by their command staff even though most local businesses were closed.
