The Black Lives Matters movement has spread to our schools, and school officials seem to think that its acceptable for students to promote the groups perceived divisive, anti-Law Enforcement, and racist agenda.
A group of mostly black students from several Manatee County, Florida high schools joined together to peacefully protest an earlier incident that occurred at Manatee High School where one student decide to show off his Confederate flag during that school’s “national pride” day.The flag in question is said to have “Trump 2016” written on it, and the student showing it off voluntarily stopped displaying it after numerous complaints were made.
But what about those protesting students?
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
The students wore all black clothing and some painted “BLM” on their faces to represent the movement, a movement that has promoted the killing of police officers, and has even killed police officers in the name of “justice.”
School Superintendent Diane Green took issue with the flag, prompting her to send out a robo-call to parents warning that any school disruptions following the protest would be met with harsh consequences.
“Please help me make this message clear to your children…Again, any incidents that prevent Manatee High or Palmetto High from having a productive school day tomorrow will be met with disciplinary measures, up to cancellation of homecoming activities. I appreciate your help and support in this matter.”(Bradenton Herald)
Since BLM is considered to be a hate group by many Americans, and the Confederate flag is seen as a symbol of hate, wouldn’t it be fair to tell press students to stop wearing black clothes , paint their faces, and waive the Dixie flag?
