During the first and only debate between incumbent Rep. David Jolly (R) and former Republican-turned-Democrat Charlie Crist for Florida’s 13th Congressional District, Crist was asked if he would vote for his party’s presidential nominee.Crist, in his usual sincere-sounding demeanor, said he would vote for Hillary Clinton because he was proud of her. Crist then added that he believed Clinton was a “very good Secretary of State” and “Honest.”
That remark that Hillary Clinton was “honest,” even as the latest Fox News poll shows that 64 percent of Americans think she is untrustworthy and dishonest, caused the crowed to laugh out loud.
CRIST: “I am proud of Hillary Clinton. I think she’s been a very good secretary of state, a very good senator from the state of New York. The thing I like most about her is I believe she is steady, I believe that she is strong, I believe that she is honest, and I look forward to voting for her.”
A news internal poll conducted by the Jolly campaign shows the two men tied with 46 percent of the vote each.
