Officer’s remain hopeful the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) will investigate alleged wrongdoing by high ranking members of the Clay County Sheriff’s (CCSO) office after the election.
As normal protocol, FDLE usually does not get involved in investigations so close to an election. The FDLE may commence and start investigating if the new sheriff, who will be elected on August 30th, uncovers wrongdoing, intimidation, ethical, violation of voting laws or criminal misconduct. Many Clay County sheriff officers have expressed concern to the Shark Tank about the fact they are purposely intimidated by the current regime if they talk to the media about misconduct within the sheriff’s office. They said they are either forced to resign, retire or they are fired.
Even though they were in fear of losing their jobs, officers have been coming forward and reporting multiple incidents of misconduct, including news stories about officers alleging Craig Aldrich used a Clay County Sheriff’s vehicle to go to a nude strip club for pleasure. The CCSO is accused of seemingly trying to cover it up by providing a roster that did not include Aldrich. In addition several officers have alleged that under the current administration, they have not been allowed to investigate meth houses in the district and they alleged the gang statistics were modified, so that Aldrich’s campaign could state there was not a drug or crime problem in the county.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
I think one witness summed it up the best when they stated:
The answer is: hopefully after the election on Tuesday. As a resident of Clay County for over 30 years, this is the worst I have seen it. Between the attempted intimidation and the allegations going around in regard to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, all I can say is, we deserve better. When is it going to stop?
